family time!

Check out the adorable family I had the pleasure of photographing over the weekend:

I photograph a lot of families with young kids, so it was a fun change to work with adult kids! It was great that they were up for a bunch of fun shots and didn't mind walking around to different areas during the session. At one point we were down at the neighborhood park, trying to get a shot with Charlotte (the family pup), but she was pretty distracted. You should have seen me behind the camera...I was jumping up and down, clapping to get her to look at the camera. I think the rest of the family was laughing at me in this picture!

going, going, gone!

Hi everyone, just a quick post to let you all know that I'll be in Denver, CO until Tuesday for a visit with some friends as well as a photo shoot or two. I'll post some fun puppy pics when I get back! :)

Paco is not a snow bunny

While staying with my parents during the holidays, I couldn't help but notice how Paco reacted to the snow. He's seen snow before, but definitely not 2 feet of it covering his stomping ground. He'd sit outside on the porch, just staring at the backyard. I tried to get him to venture out into the white wilderness, but he refused to move. He'd look at me, then turn back to watch the snow.

a present for Elvis & Mitzie

I'd been searching for the perfect Christmas gift for Mitzie & Elvis (my 2 favorite dachshunds) and finally found just what they needed at the Eastside Dog boutique.

Check out the adorable star-shaped squeaky toys (and the awesome snow at my house):

My favorite part about the toys? They come apart so each dog gets their own star--this way Dennis & Patricia (Elvis & Mitzie's owners) can decide who's been naughty and who's been nice!

city shoot

I recently had a photo session with Yusen, who was looking for some images to add to his modeling portfolio. I had a certain look in mind the weeks leading up to our shoot and I really wanted to photograph in downtown Seattle, but the weather forecast for the date of the shoot said rain, rain and more rain. Luckily for me, the meteorologists were wrong and I was able to photograph Yusen in the studio
and in the city.

stress reliever

I was up late last night finishing holiday orders, catching up on emails, designing holiday gift certificates and brainstorming Christmas gift ideas for my friends and family.

Somewhere in between all that mess I had a mini stress attack, wondering how I'd be able to get everything done in time. It was then that I decided I needed a good laugh, since that's the one thing that always de-stresses me.

So, I dropped what I was doing for 10 minutes and had fun with a clip-art Santa hat...

Another article!

I just got an email from Spun designer Sara Seumae letting me know that another article has been published about her clothing line and includes some photos that I took during the photo shoot for her 2008 fall/winter collection! You can check out the NWSource article here.
