Paco & Bella

My parents' cat Paco has been missing for a month now and despite all our efforts to locate him with "missing cat" posters and calls to the Humane Society, it's time to accept the fact that he is gone. I'd like to think that he wondered away and found another home with better cat food and that's why he's gone. I know it's not probable, but that's makes it slightly less painful.

On a happy note, Bella is doing much better. She had been sick for weeks and weeks--poor thing went from 8 pounds all the way down to 3. At first my parents thought it was because Paco had gone missing and she was depressed, but after a few days of not being able to keep food down, they took her to their vet for some tests...and then took her back for more tests...and more and more. Everything came back negative, but she was getting sicker and sicker as the days went on. My parents finally decided to take her to see a doctor at Seattle Veterinary Specialists for a second opinion and found out within minutes that her gallbladder was incredibly infected and she needed to have surgery. After a few days of being on an IV, she was finally well enough to go under the knife. Everything went smoothly and she's now at home recovering nicely.

I would like to give a big THANK YOU!!! to everyone at Seattle Veterinary Specialists. You took such great care of Bella and you gave my whole family peace of mind.
