Charity and I feel so lucky to have such amazing clients. I wanted to share a few of the reviews written about us:

"PaddyWag is great at capturing your pet's personality. They are professional, thoughtful and just downright creative photographers." --laurajmack

"Because they take the time to get THE shot! And they are not afraid to get down and dirty for the perfect picture!" --michellec

"The importance of rapport between subject and photographer cannot be overstated. No other photographer in Western Washington has an easier time developing an immediate connection with our four-legged family members than Amanda and Charity. Take a look for yourself ... you'll see what I mean." --Huyman

"Both Amanda and Charity have great personalities, and get along great with animals and people. It is rare to find people who interact so well with both. I would definitely recommend them to any one looking to capture the best of their pets." --rwallace31915

"Wow I receive comments all the time about our dogs pictures. Amanda is amazing--so much patience with your animals. I would recommend Amanda to family and friends. Thank you so much." --Tyler, Cora, Baker and Lola

"Charity is amazingly sweet and the photos that she has produced are absolutely adorable. She is one of the easiest people in the world to get along with!" --Clayton Ryan

A few months ago, my sister Jamie asked me to help her with a school photography project. Her assignment was to pick a color and make it the primary focus in a photo. She chose the color purple and was inspired by Ken Browar's amazing beauty photos. She put a heavy coat of foundation on my face, then we experimented with purple paint and eyeshadow. Once we had achieved the look she wanted, I set up the lights and she shot some really fun pics! Here are my three favorites:

the stylish kiddo

This little man is growing bigger and bigger every time I see him! I swear Kiefer keeps getting more fashionable with each month too. He wore the cutest Kenneth Cole shirts and jacket for his 3 month photo session. Mom has such great taste in clothing and is definitely passing it on to Kiefer. Check him out!

Thanks for another fun photo session Celeste, Josh and Kiefer! Can't wait to see what's on the fashion agenda for Kiefer's 6 month photos! :)

The Beautiful Charity Lynne

I was thrilled when Charity, one of my bestest friends ever (not to mention photography partner for PaddyWag) asked me to take her portrait. I was even more excited when she wanted to do it over coffee and food because I knew that would be totally appropriate since she's an amazing food and product photographer (check out her website at

Charity is such a great person to photograph, not only because she looks amazing in front of the camera, but also because she's fun and goofy and the kind of person you want to be around and spend time with.

She wrote about the shoot on her blog, so click here to view more pics and to hear her side of the experience!

Thanks again Charity for letting me play paparazzi for a morning! :)

Kodiak - PaddyWag's newest client

I'd like you all to meet Kodiak, the newest PaddyWag client.

Spending an afternoon with this cutie was way too much fun! Brother and sister even got in on the cuteness action.

This one cracks me up! It was the first shot of the day:

Love the detail on this next one...

We were having so much fun that I wanted to be in a pic too, so here's my shadow with Kodiak:

I think Kodiak was pretty worn out by the end of the shoot.
It was definitely time to curl up with a toy and rest.

Thanks again to Kodiak and family!

***Just a reminder to all you blog readers, TODAY is the last day to vote for PaddyWag on King 5's Best of Western Washington. Click here to submit your vote and make us your #1 favorite pet photographer! Thank you, thank you, thank you! :) ***

mmm...New York Cupcakes

I've had an email or two (or three or four) asking where I've been and what I've been up to lately. Well, I've been lucky enough to have had tons of people, places and things to photograph the last couple of weeks, and getting caught up is taking some time...ok, taking a LOT of time. I promise to post pics of what I've been doing starting with these from my shoot for New York Cupcakes.

(on a side note, I've been updating my Twitter account, so feel free to follow me by clicking here)

I had the absolute pleasure of working with New York Cupcakes, a deliciously amazing cupcake shop located in Bellevue. Their store has a cool vintage feel and is oozing with various shades of pink. Fun goodies fill the shelves, including retro-chic party hats, lollipops, kid-sized aprons...

...funky clocks, cupcake toppers and even happy hour frosting shots! :)

I photographed a bunch of cupcakes, including these pastel pretties...

 these gorgeous wedding ones...

and these chocolate-raspberry morsels.

Taste testing was certainly a perk during this shoot and I am officially in love with every flavor. If you haven't tried a New York Cupcake, you are missing out and must run to their store! Then, after you've fallen in love with their gooey treats, go online and vote for them on King 5's Best of Western Washington.

Another reason to love New York Cupcakes? They're offering 2 ways to get a free mini cupcake this month:

1) vote for New York Cupcakes here, then print out your voting confirmation and bring it in the store before October 11th

2) bring in $1.00 to donate to St. Jude's

And if you're looking for suggestions on which one to try, I'd like to point out the uber yummy Halloween mini!
