Jackson & Chloe

One of the things I love most about my job is watching my clients turn into families.

I knew Donna and JP when they were dating...


then I photographed their engagement...


then their wedding...


and now I'm photographing their twins!

Jackson and Chloe are 6 months old and so full of life.



Jackson is quite the little flirt...


and Chloe is such a sweetheart.

Fashion Friday - college t-shirts

Remember the excitement surrounding college?

...writing all the entry essays your senior year of high school
...getting that knot in your stomach when you saw an envelope in the mail from your favorite university
...that high you were on when you found out you were accepted.

I remember back in high school when everyone sported t-shirts and jackets from the universities they'd be attending some day. Not much has changed since that time. I always see people sporting their college gear, no matter how young or old they may be.

When my sister and her friends graduated from high school earlier this summer, they received t-shirts for the colleges they'd be attending in the fall. Well, summer went by a little too quick and before they all knew it, it was time to leave for their new schools. This Fashion Friday is dedicated to college t-shirts and the 4 girls wearing them in the photos below.

I've had lots of evening photo sessions lately and the sunsets have been unbelievable the past few nights! I'm going to soak in as many of them as possible before the fall and winter gray hits.

Fashion Friday - stripes

Summer seems like the perfect time for stripes, whether they be of the dark and nautical variety or of the bright and candy colored variety. I've photographed tons of people wearing the pattern recently and I didn't realize what a big fan I'd become until I started packing for my weekend trip to Anacortes. I looked through my travel bag and noticed most of my clothing choices had stripes. I took that as a sign to feature stripes on my Fashion Friday post. Here are some of my favorite striped items:

ironing can be beautiful

I hate ironing. It's one of my least favorite chores to do.
But today the sunshine streaming into my living room was beautiful and I saw things in a new light.

While I was waiting for a client at Magnuson Park, I saw this little boy flying a kite on Kite Hill.



Anyone else want to take the day off and go fly a kite with me? :)

CeCe at Alki Beach

Fun, smart, adorable, personable and silly. All these words perfectly describe CeCe! She and I had way too much fun at Alki Beach in West Seattle. CeCe played it up for the camera and her mom and I loved every minute of it!
