family time!

Check out the adorable family I had the pleasure of photographing over the weekend:

I photograph a lot of families with young kids, so it was a fun change to work with adult kids! It was great that they were up for a bunch of fun shots and didn't mind walking around to different areas during the session. At one point we were down at the neighborhood park, trying to get a shot with Charlotte (the family pup), but she was pretty distracted. You should have seen me behind the camera...I was jumping up and down, clapping to get her to look at the camera. I think the rest of the family was laughing at me in this picture!

city shoot

I recently had a photo session with Yusen, who was looking for some images to add to his modeling portfolio. I had a certain look in mind the weeks leading up to our shoot and I really wanted to photograph in downtown Seattle, but the weather forecast for the date of the shoot said rain, rain and more rain. Luckily for me, the meteorologists were wrong and I was able to photograph Yusen in the studio
and in the city.

a kid, a dog and a pile of leaves...it must be fall

One of my favorite things about fall is when a kid rakes leaves into a big pile then jumps right in them. What could top that? A kid and his dog jumping in the pile. This boy was camera shy, but I managed to get a few shots that made mom smile.

a break from the rain!

Ali called and told me she wanted her senior pictures taken outside. Only problem? There's been lots of rain lately. Not surprising for fall in Seattle, but it always makes scheduling outdoor photo sessions tricky. We tentatively made the appointment for Monday and much to our surprise the sun decided to make an appearance!
